SELFIE 2.0

Helping you Create meaningful

canvas-worthy self-portraits

IMAGINE

Imagine you could create professional looking portraits of you or your family just about anywhere.

With the camera you already have or are about to get.

IMAGINE

Imagine you could look at almost any setting and know what to do – where to put and how to set the camera up and what to do in front of it for the best results.

IMAGINE

Imagine you could bring your own ideas to life. Funny, loving, quirky…
In places that have been part of your life. Self-portraits with true meaning. Self-portraits you can actually frame and enjoy for years anytime you walk by.

we’ll SHOW you how to do this

get inspired and get you ideas flowing

go romantic

With a camera and tripod on a stroll, we thought we’ll create something romantic before we do the silly shot (see the one after).

expecting a baby is a bag of mixed emotions

Using natural, evening light, and a composite of different positions.

Listening

There is a value in coming up with your own scenes and ideas – they sometimes far outweigh anything an outside photographer could think of. Not that their ideas are not good but because your own are closer to your heart and in future will be that much more valuable.

Unlikely spot but a great one!

There are very interesting scenes everywhere around us – sometimes just a few metres away from a car park.

Selfie 2.0 family hands memories

Just hands

Our little one was 3 weeks old. We slept maybe 1 hour a day. Exhausted but knowing there won’t be an opportunity like this again. Not a chance to visit a photographer so we kept creating ourselves.

I see you!

Father and son – Selfie 2.0
Expanding on the idea from the previous shots. One softbox as  the source of light as well as the background.

EMBRACE THE SILLY – PART 1

It was 2020. First lockdown restrictions in the UK.
The proper-summery spring weather was a godsend. Despite everything going on in the world and among people (or maybe because of it?) we went for the sillies.

EMBRACE THE SILLY – PART 2

The baby strikes back!
Like in the previous shot, this is a composite of multiple frames joined into one. I actually bruised my ribs doing this – not because I fell but because I balanced my whole body on the bottom two ribs! Silly double-whammy!

baby in between -indoors

Create this one either with natural window light or with a cheap softbox and reflector.

Christmas selfie with A cheap led light

Saw this idea and thought why not try it as a selfie.
Looks so peaceful, but… oh, boy. was it a journey to get there! Our little one was TOO interested in the camera, lights and all – so to get him sit like this just for a few seconds took SOME effort. Well worth it though!
